The selected Phase 1 route uses conditioned CO₂, electricity-derived H₂, O₂, nutrients, and a hydrogen-oxidizing microorganism to produce a traceable, non-food research biomass lot for independent characterization.
Software, pathway models, experiment workflow, and evidence controls are built.

The objective
Develop a repeatable, measurable CO₂/H₂ microbial-biomass process and establish whether the resulting biomass can advance toward a qualified protein ingredient.

How the biology works
CO₂ supplies carbon. Electricity-derived hydrogen supplies biological energy. Oxygen, nitrogen, minerals, and water support growth. A hydrogen-oxidizing microorganism converts those inputs into protein-rich biomass.
